Hello. My name is Jim

I am a fully qualified carpenter and joiner. I completed my apprenticeship with JKP Joinery and spent a lot of time working on high end projects in London.

Starting a family meant I wanted to work more locally and I took the leap into self employment. I now work in Exeter and the surrounding area, creating most client work from my workshop before working onsite to install the commissioned piece.

I previously worked as a forrester and did a lot of training on woodland management, so I have extensive knowledge of various timbers, their properties and how using them can impact the environment. So as part of my career as a joiner, I regularly keep my knowledge up to date and do my best to source the most sustainable timbers while keeping in mind their suitability for the project.

I am always looking to grow the business, expanding the range of machines and equipment I have available to keep up with modern techniques, whilst retaining the use of more traditional methods for certain projects.
