FAQs

I have an idea but I can’t show you what I mean, can you help me?

Absolutely! I find the best place for you to start is by finding a handful of images you have found on the internet. Pinterest is a great resource for this. This gives me a much better idea of the sort of thing you’re after. I will then draw a 3D design for you with design software and we can discuss any changes that need to made at this stage to get the perfect fit for you.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. The deposit is vital so that I can secure materials sooner rather than later. I usually ask for a 40% deposit of the total quote amount, sometimes it may be higher if this doesn’t cover the cost of the materials.

Do you accept card payments?

No, not currently. Payments to be made by BACS. The remaining balance of the commission needs to be paid within 7 days of the final invoice.

When can you start?

I have about a 8 week wait time for new work. Please contact me so that I can give you a more narrow time frame. Please also bear in mind that this will depend on the size and scale of the project once the final drawing and contract has been approved by both parties.

Where can I see your previous work?

I have previous projects here on my portfolio page, or you can visit Instagram or Facebook to see my work.

What timber do you use?

I use a selection of timbers such as Sapele, Southern yellow pine and Tulip. If the budget allows then moving towards a greener and more ecologically friendly Accoya.

Most painted fitted furniture that I make is constructed from moisture resistant MDF, a high quality product which is more robust and produces a cleaner finish than the more stereotypical MDF found in DIY stores.
